| Kids in the Fellowship Hall |
At Dayton Presbyterian, children and youth are valued participants in our congregation.
Sunday morning from 11:20-12:00 for everyone age 2-102.
Worshiping with the family, candle lighting, singing in the choir, Children’s Moment, and DAPC Players- an intergenerational group who present drama during worship.
After the Children’s Sermon, first through sixth grade children may attend a class which combines lessons, songs and crafts.
Our nursery attendant, assisted by volunteers, cares for infants through kindergarten.
Includes gathering at the church for overnight activities and attending community events. This year the youth will be sledding and ice skating, volunteering with Bill's Pantry, visiting with seniors at Bethel Care Center, hanging out at lock-ins, and more!
A church member age eighteen or younger is elected and ordained to serve on Session-the church governing body- and another is on our service organization, the Board of Deacons.
Our Confirmation Classes for middle-school youth are structured in a series of weekend retreats to encourage both forming a close-knit peer group as well as time for personal reflection. We partner with youth from Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church in Minneapolis to explore what Christianity means in the lives of young people.
