Who We Are
We are brothers and sisters in Christ.
There are many families within our Church family.
 |
| Making bread at the men's retreat 2006 |
- Fellowships around special interests
and gifts, reflecting
our diversity
- Communities
of comfort, support, trust and safety like
our teen's, women's and
men's groups
- Service circles: volunteers staffing
our free clothing center or
supporting our
decades-long commitment to Liberty Plaza,
an affordable housing development
- Age and life-stage activities
from nursery through a year-long
communicants
class for younger teens, and to our homemakers-
many of whom have gathered weekly
for 40 years or more
We are Presbyterians.
In the creative chaos our Church can be, we follow the organizational
structure
set out in our denomination's Book of Order.
- Session deliberates decently and in order
to manage our worship, our
organization, and our corporate governance
- The Board of Deacons
provides compassionate service to members
of our congregation, friends and relatives
of our members, non-members who worship
with us and community residents who seek
our help for a variety of reasons
- We participate in the life of the Presbyterian
Church (USA), its Synod
of Lakes
and Prairies and the Presbytery of the
Twin Cities
