“My prayer life has been shifting. During a monthly session with Julie Neraas, my spiritual director, the power of prayer took on a new dimension. As I had been praying for years, I would ask God to bless my family, North Como, and other concerns that were on my mind and heart. It dawned on me that asking God "to bless" was presumptuous. Of course God blesses!!! My prayer structure is shifting to pray that my family, North Como, and other concerns are attuned to the blessings God bestows upon Creation and each of us. Stepping out of the posture of requesting God's blessings has empowered a whole new sense of humility in my spiritual life. Quite frankly, I am going through SOUL REPENTANCE AND RESTORATION!

“How is your prayer life?

“We are invited to journey through the Lenten season beginning with Ash Wednesday Service, February 22, 7 pm. The Lenten season encourages us to examine our soul's separation from the intentions of God's love through Jesus Christ. Wednesday evening Lenten Soup Suppers will be shared with Dayton Avenue Presbyterian Church. Gathering for soup at 6 pm followed by a devotional related to "Soul Repentance". Dates for the Soul Repentance Soup Suppers will be Wednesdays at 6 pm: February 29 (Dayton Ave), March 7 (North Como), March 14 (Dayton Ave), March 21 (North Como), March 28 (Dayton Ave), April 5-Maundy Thursday (7 pm Dayton Ave), April 6-Good Friday (7 pm North Como). Dayton Avenue Presbyterian Church is located at 217 MacKubin and Dayton Avenue in St. Paul. Your soul will be enriched as you take the time to participate in these Lenten activities.”
