Clothing Center

Dating back over 30 years, Dayton Avenue has operated a free clothing center. Our goal is to provide quality used clothing to all who need it without restriction.  We serve any and all people.  People come from all over the city, as many as 100 families on a typical Saturday.  Hours:  The Center is open the first and third Saturday of the month except in the summer, from 9AM to 11:45 AM.  Volunteers: DAPC, the neighborhood and House of Hope Presbyterian Church provide the all-volunteer staff.  Donations come from members, neighbors and churches from as far away as Farmington.  The Farmington church hand sews quilts and other winter items every year.  Donations are accepted year-round during Church hours or when the Center is open.

The Clothing Center is closed for the summer.  We will reopen Saturday, August 29, at 9AM.
We will be open the Saturday after Labor Day, September 12 and September 19.  We will resume regular times, the first and third Saturday of the month in October.

To Obtain clothing:
There are no qualifications.  Anyone can walk in and obtain clothes.  We do limit the amount of certain items to be fair to everyone.

To Donate Clothing:
Bring donations on  a Saturday morning when the Clothing Center is open OR 9am to 5pm Monday through Friday.  Come to the parking lot door.

To volunteer at the Clothing Center:
Call Chuck, Minister of Administration and he will hook you up with the staff.  We are always looking for people to sort, help clients find the right clothes, and put away clothes.
