...is a rainbow church.  We accept anyone in their search for Christ. A rainbow has been our logo for decades.  We are accepting of all lifestyles.  We have a passion for social justice and faith-based action.  From starting a Clothing Center over 30 years ago to supporting social justice programs of all varieties, DAPC reaches out to our community.  Families come to DAPC from all over the metro area and we work hard to enrich and strengthen our faith as we go back into the metro community.

DAPC is an open and accepting faith community with a passion for social justice and faith-based action.  We are an urban, liberal Christian congregation of diverse families.  We strive to nurture our faith in God, support each other spiritually, and put our gifts to work in our community.

PENTECOST EXALTATION
Dr. Robert Morris, Minister of Music for Dayton Avenue, has wanted to do something to make Pentecost a more meaningful Christian holiday.  After Easter, Christmas, Palm Sunday, Ash Wednesday, Advent and Lent, Pentecost is almost ignored.  Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit descended on the disciples in the form of flames, is the start of the Christian Church (Acts of the Apostles, Chapter 2, Verses 1 to 12.  Peter makes his first public proclamation of the Good News and the rest is history.

Press Release:
"The Music Department at Dayton Avenue Presbyterian Church in St. Paul, Minnesota, is inviting singers to participate in its first annual Pentecost Exaltation.  The event is scheduled for Saturday, May 19, at 3pm at the church located at 217 Mackubin Street.

The church hopes to assemble a choir of 100 voices from throughout the Twin Cities area to sing hymns, anthems, spirituals and gospel songs to celebrate Pentecost.

The choir will be led by Robert Morris, Minister of Music at Dayton Avenue.  Morris holds degrees from De Paul University, Chicago, Indiana University and the University of Iowa.  He has conducted at Carnegie Hall, Orchestra Hall in Chicago and Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis.
